Description
OMG. A DD? for me???Thank you so much, especially for for suggesting it, and for the feature.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
EPIC FAIL especially on the night-atmosphere-room thingy
a mid-exam assignment for Sequential art class. the lecturer ask us to make a comic for 3-4 pages. and it should be in full-color which is why I didn't upload anything since my last submission OTL
details + full color = dead
anyway, I pick AQUATERRA as the main topic, but don't consider this story as a fact, it's just fiction. Momo (a.k.a my ID) had a dream which became her inspiration
and the guy is the dream-giver himself. we can know this from what he says,"I have just arrived, just like you"
how he can know that Momo has just arrived while he is sitting there staring the moon. He is a bad liar *bricked*
and also, his request to make the world alive is the second hint.
and it seems that the colors here are more colorful than . which one is better? please tell me what you think
anyway, hope you enjoy!
art, characters (c) ~Fortranica
PLEASE DO NOT USE WITHOUT PERMISSION
thank you for the faves and comments
have no idea for the title OTL

The imagination is endless, a world without bounds. *Fortranica shows us that with this piece that not only is it boundless, it's also alive. That every piece of work we may ever do, and every idea we may ever have, has a history behind it that we, ourselves, may be blind to. It takes beauty of the heart to make us feel, and beauty of the mind to tell tales. "Inspiration" by *Fortranica shows us that she has both.
The high point of this piece, Originality. For all of the wonders of the mind that have ever been brought to the surface of this Earth, finding a piece as vividly unique as inspiration is no different than searching for a needle in a haystack. Its story gives a message that we have all forgotten, and yet, all love to hear. The world of our dreams is meant to be shared, and we are the portal from which he comes. Story aside even, the world of "AquaTerra" is highly original in design, though perhaps not name. Fusing elements as different as water and earth, and turning them into a world all its own, a beautiful work of love and detail that no artist can ever dream to shun.
Visions captured in this single strip comic are also gorgeous, if not breathtaking. The box alone of her stepping out of her room, and into a world with fish swimming in the sky is something that captures the eyes of even the harshest of critics. A moon cut in the sky, raining down the water in which all live and breath. Butterflies flying above the ground as sea turtles swim by. A knight in royal blue and white, speaking of wisdom that has nigh been lost to the world. They are all characteristics of a marvelous tale, and wonderful dream.
Techniques demonstrated through the piece vary from jaw dropping to more of the same, but it's a task all its own to be bored with the same work by *Fortranica . The details in the bedroom are worth passing, but nothing to swoon over. But as she steps out into the world of fantasy and dreams, you can almost feel the water push on your ears as fish Goldfish swims by.
Lastly, the Impact. The praise earned by a piece such as this shows how much this has affected the lives of the artists on DA. It raises the bar, with no shame, of fantasia stories and emotion gripping words for all to present. Reading the story once through can not be considered enough, and twice is even debatably so.
Through it all, and in the end, *Fortranica has given us a vision of her dreams that we will not soon forget. It's breath taking, detailed, though filled, and dream invoking. It may be a long time coming for a work such as this to be out done, but we'll eagerly await the next work of *Fortranica to raise this bar.
Now on to the world of dreams, where the doorway of inspiration lies...

The revised colors in the sample panel you provided are bit more vibrant but I don't have any problem with the colors in the strip. The colors in the strip are very raw but appealing and match the theme of the story well.
I also love the panel layout. It flows very nicely even when you play with the breaking the frame/gutters. The character design is well done but I feel like the expressions of the little girl could have been pushed a little bit more. Perhaps its because of the way her hair obscures some of her face that makes the expressions no read as well.
The one thing that I did notice right off the bat is how some of the text gets lost in the 3rd panel. To be honest, some of the text is hard to read, but perhaps it's because it's being viewed on a computer screen.
Over all this is an extremely well done piece!

thank you for the critic. I also realized that there are things that seem not right. especially the girl, I admit I have some difficulties to draw her emotions especially on the second page on top-left.
and for the 3rd page, it seems that I can't manage the panels well especially when the girl is staring on the sky, the panel is crowded with texts.
thank you for the critique, I appreciate it a lot!

I guess as long as you credit me? or stating that you're inspired by this piece, I guess that is okay.
I guess the word 'inspired' would be appropriate, the word 'use' in your statement kind of irked me honestly.

I like drawings with a story behind them and this is one nice story.
And personally I prefer this version over the other one, mostly because of the color, it's so bright and in your face in a soft way...if that makes sense
