To celebrate, here’s a portrait I worked on and poured my heart into for hours.

Yes, it’s the same tomboy kid from the last artwork, only smaller. And yes, you can call it concept art like before. www.deviantart.com/fosburgh/ar…

And if you’re wondering about the other 3 people, those are her neighbors. Judging her for who she is. Not that the innocent playful tomboy cares.

Incidentally, for anyone who is or was a tomboy or just called one, how was your experience in your neighborhood? How did your adult neighbors feel about you? (Yes, friends’ parents count.) Did they accept you or judge you? Do you even know?

By the way, the paint medium for the clothes and bat is mostly gouache, and a bit of acrylic. (Sometimes I had to mix paints in order to get the desired color. Assuming I needed to tell you that.) The paint medium for the grass and the sky is watercolor. How about that?
