Description
A very quick drawing that I started before Christmas (interrupted it for the holydays). I wanted to do something (as crappy as it is) to illustrate something that is being celebrated in Brazil recentally, the 100 Year Anniversary of Japanese Immigration. There are probably much more people in Brazil of Japanese ancestry than people of Portuguese ancestry.I came to know it from a Brazilian comic series that is sold here in Portugal, "Monica's Gang" (Turma da MΓ³nica), which have been celebrating it and making special editions about it. Since Brazil and Japan are two countries I love (not just the land, but their people and culture) I illustrated this event... mythorama-ized.
This are two figures from Japanese mythology (the one on the right, the Tengu, a goblin-like man-bird) and of Brazilian country folklore (the red capped one, the Saci, single-footed mulatto boys that play tricks on humans). Both these creatures play tricks on humans, but are often benelovent to them. Also, they're both associated with wind (Tengu are spirits of the air and are said to control the wind; a saci can summon dust devils and uses them to disappear or travel).
The tengu is supposed to be saying "E aΓ?", common Brazilian expression for "What's up?". If anyone can write that in Japanese characters, comment and I'll add it.

Me neither!
xD But I don't mean there's 100-year-old Japanese immigrants in Brazil, I mean the Japanese have been immigrating to Brazil for 100 years.

I know, but I wasn't asking you, I was like appreciating, and thinking about it. "ONE hundred years, huh?... That's cool." Like THAT.
