Here's a quick sketch that I tried to make of this squirrel [link] as a sabre-toothed squirrel, or Scrat.I love this little guy, because of how fun he is and because of his name ("squirrel" mixed with "rat"), and just how silly his concept is. Why would a squirrel need sabre teeth?
This is the only made-up animal in the Ice Age movies I think, but some paleozoologists have just found a 36 million years-old ancestor of the squirrel that they say have little sabre-teeth. Strange!
