Ok is Maud crushing Twi's head? Which begs the next question. Are they now making love next to Twi's dead or unconscious body with possible crushed head?
I know, I know! Way to ruin a moment and it's only a dream. Still, we know how strong Maud is. We see that look in Twi's eye before it happens. We also see Twi looks very.... motionless while Maud gets kisses from Trixie. I'm just saying.

We also know that Luna is using dream magic to help Trixie by making Maude appear in her dream. Take that along with my last comment. Would that mean that Luna created a vision of Maude crushing Twi's head just to put Trixie at ease?
At least I was not first to say something about poor Twi's crushed head.

Hmm! I gave this some thought and think, neither. Ok here is how I worked it out.
Luna feels Trixie's nightmare pain in the dream plain. So she comes to help her. She knows Trixie's feelings for Maude and comes up with a plan. She links Maude's mind but not fully connecting it, to Trixie's dream in hopes to help her realize what she really needs. What Luna did not realize is that Maude can get brutally jealous Thus dream Maude acts upon what real Maude might do.
Luna knows it's only a dream but cause of that action and linking Maudes mind. She inadvertently creates a nightmare in Maude's mind of Trixie getting kisses from far to many competitors. This is were Luna realizes first hand how Maude reacts with jealousy. As she is nearly crushed under a boulder in Maude's mind.
So that explains it. It was Luna's doing, but accidentally and with no malicious towards Twi. Which also explains why she goes into Maude's dream in the next comic.
At least... that's my theory.

Most of my post are what comes to mind without editing. Even my longer short story posts tend to just flow out and will usually get one re-read for errors before post cause I do them so late at night and have to rush to bed after done. Like in Earth Girls Are Easy. Have you seen that movie? That's got one weird sex scene, let me tell you. Very psychedelic.
I'm trying to figure out if Twi's eyelashes are important. They're just so prominent. Not like Twi's actual eyelashes, and not like other ponies' eyelashes.I guess it's representative of the seductive pull of just letting go and giving into your darkness and self-loathing?
And then her last line . . . why would Twixie's self-loathing call Maud's ear pleasant despite being dusty and bitter? Does she not want to drive a wedge between Trixie and Maud? Why call the love fake in one breath and then admit (albeit indirectly) the pleasure of being close to Maud in the next?

About that last line, I think you read the text bubbles reversed, it's trixie that says maud's ear is pleasant and her self loathing that says can you feel this taste of fatality.

Oh, now I see it. That first one really needed to be routed the other direction. It's quite clearly drawn as Trixie saying both, which is how I initially read it, before I assigned the second balloon to Twi because they wouldn't be separate balloon otherwise.
