Description
Otay...so part of the background of Fox...which needs to be re-written and probably posted somewhere...is that...under extreme pressure he snaps.Anyhoo...yes...Fox could be considered a berserker, but it's one of those things where you have to push him to the end
On a side note...as I've said before, I reeeeally want to color this. It's lacking in my honest opinion because I have such a vivid image in my head. Without the colors it just paaaaaaales. So HOPEFULLY...being that I was able to actually draw two drawings within days of each other...that my artist's block has keeled over and died.

Unfortunately those two don't normally go hand in hand. Practice is what yields the most improvement, and generally lots of it.

Find something that inspires you and study it. Or take a specific course of action. Persay if you wish to learn muscles and poses, study anatomy. If you want to learn about shading, then study light. The world around you is a giant learning guide.

That statement in itself makes sense. Think of it. If you wished you draw trees better, all you would have to do is but walk outside and look at trees.

wow it seems like you have the wisdom of the wind too. i try hard to look at things and study them to draw. maybe my bad eyesight has something to do with it but its still difficult. i will keep trying and practicing. i just wishi could make my practice more effective

Well a lot of practice repetition. Drawing something over and over and over again until you get it right. Then by that time it's almost habitual. For example...I'd probably have some issue drawing a woman right off the bat because I do not draw them much. However, the anatomy of a male, or rather I should the structure of muscles, I've done over and over again so I have no problems drawing that.
The best thing to do is to look at what you're drawing, AS you draw. Don't attempt to commit what you want to draw to memory and then try to recreate it. Draw it while it's there. Then later on attempt to recreate it in your own way. That's where one's own style generally comes from.

im actually going to do that now. im going to practice now. i used to draw males too but actually thats the first time i heard women being hard to draw. they were always relatively easy atleast for me. but i see what you mean. most of your characters are male so i guess thats where the repition come in.

It would look great in color, but I really enjoy just looking at all of the pencil work in this. It might actually look better like this; some works get practically raped by coloring them.
But it's your choice; I really like this either way though ^^

nah nah, its fine...i mean, i can draw plenty of other things that people think are awesome, then not be able at all to teach someone else how to draw them XD, if you could just draw a face like you normally would, yknow, make the shape, start over right next to it, just make each face a step further than the last, oh well if you cant...Thanks in advance! XD

Fox-Dev In reply to Komatsu666 [2008-07-09 21:33:05 +0000 UTC]
That's the weird thing. I don't really have shapes that I follow. Alot of people draw shapes or patterns lightly and then draw over it. I do know I almost always start with the eye though...which is a really weird place to start XD

(probably the longest comment conversation ive always had...) that is a pretty weird place to start, i used to start by the feet, but now i start with the top of the head and draw the entire body before i go into details (i wish my scanner worked) but oh well, thanks for um....coming up with excuses for not trying! XD

Fox-Dev In reply to Komatsu666 [2008-07-11 04:09:26 +0000 UTC]
I'm good with excuses. But on a serious thought, my drawing patterns are so varied and random, I don't believe it possible to actually come up with a tutorial. Also...I have a weird habit of starting in the center of the page, which is really bad when you draw a full body...because I have a tendency to cut off their legs. ;3

lol, i used to do that too. now i usually draw on lined notebook paper, so sometimes i kinda um...use the lins as guidelins for some things involving length. Its pretty lazy, but i guess its just habit by now, and i was just joking when i sad you were making up excuses
