I know..lame title XD Ok....sooo...I wanted to draw Fox with his wings unfurled....because he does in fact have wings...he just has the ability to retract them.
So yeah...his wings are rather...eh big...so I start drawing and realize....if I draw the wings to scale...Fox himself will take up like 2 inches of the paper lol. In the end..he took up 2 and a half inches! 
lol Disregard the odd lines behind and below him..it's not like I was going to draw a background and said screw it or anything >.>;;

In an FMA fic I'm writing thereβs this whole thing where an angel can draw in their wings, but when that happens their soul doesnβt fit in their body and it constricts the lungs, making hiding them very unpleasant.

The main character is a human with the soul of an angel, wings and all. He's been feeling the pain all his life; he thinks it's normal. One day his wings come out and suddenly the pain is gone. He's breathing. Not that he hasn't been breathing all along, but it's the first time he's breathing freely.
Now that he knows what it's like to not feel that pain it hurts so much worse than before when he draws them back in. The more often he brings them out the harder it is to get through the day when he pulls them back in. And the more it hurts the more he wants to take them out. It's a vicious cycle.

Well he has a control over the wind, so even in the instance they were too small, he could still fly..just in a different aspect.

It looks awesome, and more reallistic than tiny wings would. I mean eagles have a huge wing span and their body's not that big so imagine what a human sized being's wing span should be in order for the wings to actually be able to bear it upwards into the air....

Veyr good. The wings have a lot of detail, must have taken you forever! But why the pose? Looking up at the sky wiht bliss....but the arms seem awkward for the situation. Maybe its just me.
