Description When I was young, my father had a golden retriever named Boss - I don't think I ever saw him without a tennis ball in his mouth.

My labrador was like that too. She wore her molars down to the gumline by the time she was a year old because she was always playing with those tennis balls!!

She also would hide them all over our street, so she would never be without a tennis ball to play fetch with. Somehow she always remebered where she hid them and which ones she already took.

I love your picture. Although I prefer (yellow) labs, goldens are good dogs too.

Aww I love golden retrievers, though the golden I have won't fetch. Its like she doesn't get it. I throw the toy and she watches my other dog (English Springer Spaniel) go after it, but then turns and walks away. lol And if she does play its only with my Springer. That is so cute though, I have seen goldens just like that, most are and that face is just SOOO golden retriever perfect!

Thank you!
I have heard from a few people who say their goldens' fetch is 'broken' - I have a shiba (who aren't supposed to like to fetch) who must have stolen it all! ^.^

lol thats funny, my Springer Spaniel LOVES to play fetch.
I look at my golden and I am like "you are a RETRIEVER, go RETRIEVE" but she just walks away. Now my aunt's goldens you could play fetch with them all day. On top of all that my golden is hard to motivate to train anyway. She can't figure out something when it comes to getting a treat, she gives up and walks away. lol

Awwww.... That is too cute! I wish our old dog would have fetched. He just wasn't interested in the ball, or sticks, or anything thrown for him. XD

I wish our golden retriever would fetch. She just chases it and takes it away forever.

Lol! Some seem to do that. I guess they are broken retrievers, but you don't really want the nasty drool-covered tennis balls back anyways.

That is very true. I guess she's just saving me from the suffering... Good dog!
