Description
I sculpted the base of this mask, then painted and fully feathered it. It is wearable and you can see surprisingly well out of the nare (nose) holes. It is for sale. Email me - serious inquiries only. It's big enough to completely cover head and shoulders.Related content

I would be even more interested in getting a griffen like this but black feather were the multi coloured ones are and white where the cream feathers are.

Have you sold it yet??? How much are you going to sell it for??? I may have to commission one from you because the colours would be wrong for Hakumei (fursona). I love it. It's amazing in every way possible.

What do you use to attatch feathers? It looks very natural and real the way your layered them. I'm trying to figure out how do it for something I am working on?

Hot glue and epoxy, depending on how much strength I need from a particular feather. Some are also sewn through the shaft.

How much would you charge for a commissioned job like this? Our Renn group is having a masquerade and I want to go as a griffin. I was going to get a nice leather mask to go with my edwardian skirts...but...

WOW!!!! i love this mask, it's just Gorgeous!
I am currently learning how to make masks, and i've tried once to make a raven mask, and it didn't turn out as great as i'd wanted, so i never finished it,
but i am curious, how do you attach the feathers? do you sew or glue them?? i currently use glue for mine. here is a picture of my wolf mask i completed, it's only webcam pics, but i'd like to know what you think of it? [link]

Very impressive! (I love wolf's rain, by the way, you did a good job of capturing Toboe's look!) There's a great community for tips/info/sharing animal related costume work on Livejournal, if you've never seen it. [link]
There's some links on that main page that are great and the community itself.
I both sew and glue the feathers, mostly glue, though. (I sew more of the ones around the nape/bottom where they have more chance to really get pulled on and could use the strength. Low temp hot glue is <3

This is beautiful. Your work with masks is simply amazing. I cannot figure out how you do the feathering...I've never tried. If I had the money I would pay you just show me the steps in making one. Words really cannot describ the worksmanship put into this....I am in...awe.
