Description
A sumi painting of a great-horned owl, with kanji text roughly translating to "drops of silver rain fall" - a passage from a Japanese (Ainu) poem about an owl deity.I have always been entranced by the beautiful camouflaged spots of these owls, looking like little droplets of silver and gold - I found the poem inspiring, beautiful, and fitting.
8" x 10" Sumi ink on rice paper.
The original is sold, but I have prints available here: [link]
