READ THE FULL TERMS OF USE BEFORE USING THIS BASE! (In particular: NO making him female!)Squeee, my Sheik base is finally finished ^.^ Weeell... not exactly, since I was going to include his SSBM/concept art hairstyle as well as his in-game one (I dunno why he looked so different in the polygons, but I liked it better!), but close enough. Rules for use are on the base ^^ Enjoy!
Incidentally, I'm planning to make a full-fledged doll on this base, for the KiSS Theme Challenge (since they have "games" as the theme this time around ^^). I just hope I can finish in time. And, as I promised in my journal entry, he will totally have Kafei cosplay options, including 'Shadow of the Ages' Sheikah-Kafei ^^
Oh yeah, and if you were going to bitch at me about Sheik's gender, don't. The last time I posted this it was inundated with mindless dumbass "SHEIK IS A GIRL" comments, and I'm fucking sick of it. KEEP IT TO YOURSELF! I'm happy to let you think whatever you like about Sheik's giblets, so have the god damned courtesy to do the same!

sheik is a girl though in the end of ocarina of time *he* turns into princess zelda then gives you the light arrows after you get all the sages complete and a pinkish purple diamond appears and captures her and Ganondorf has Zelda/Sheik...

I've always thought that Sheik was an alternate person from Zelda. Like she used him as a way to deal with everyone in Hyrule being turned into Redeads... So a split personality/gender type thing...i dunno, I could be wrong.

Actually sorry for saying something about Sheik's Gender but.... Sheik is a female, even in Ocarina of Time she has the stature look carefully when she moves around, you can see the female walk even in the Ocarina, I played that game to many times to see that, but it also takes on the players perspective of the character, of thinking it was a male in a Sheikah outfit, and even in the manga Link say's when Navi asks if Sheik is going to be okay, He did say she will be fine.. but I say just let the fans chose the gender its nothing to fight about

Also, I agree. There should be more male bases out there. There's too many girl bases in my opinion.. >> And to tell the truth, you can't distinguish the genders of the Sheikah race.. Even if Sheik IS Zelda, I still prefer to think of Sheik as a guy...

You realise Brawl is a redesign? Based on an entirely different continuity? Which is utterly non-canonical and irrelevant to the original character? "Good sir", Your point is non-existent.

The Zelda characters in Brawl are based on Twilight Princess, and, as such, have no basis on characters from Ocarina of Time (where this Sheik is from). It's like saying that because Zelda has brown hair in Brawl, that meant that they totally made a mistake in Ocarina of Time and that that Zelda was meant to be a brunette all along.
Yeah, Brawl!Sheik is probably female. She is also not the same person as Ocarina!Sheik, who looks like a dude.
If it looks like a guy, and sounds like a guy (yes, there are guys that sound like Sheik), and everyone refers to the character as a guy... I realise you've probably never actually played Ocarina of Time and just played Brawl, where Sheik does have curves and breasts, but this guy definitely doesn't have them.
You're welcome to think what you want about Sheik, but when the artist blatantly asks you not to argue over this, kindly respect that.
...And given that Foxlee's dA obviously says that she's female, and yet you continue to refer to her as 'good sir', I'm not sure I trust your judgment on gender anyway

Copyright whut? No, you're just making stuff up now. Copyright law has no way to "force" you to design a character in any particular way. If you actually believe the law works this way, please provide a reference that proves your point; otherwise, don't try to base an argument on laws you clearly don't understand.
And how do you not understand the difference in continuity? I suppose you're also going to tell me that the Zelda in Twilight Princess is the same character as in Ocarina of Time? The Super Smash Brothers games are a goofy, non-canonical tie-in that have no influence on Zelda's actual story. Or do you think that TP Zelda and Link actually got transported to some extradimensional Nintendo multiverse-space to fight with Kirby and Mario? The Sheik who appears there is an alternate version based on early sketches for a Sheik that would have appeared in TP (this is factual information - look it up). It's not the same character, any more than WW Link is the same guy as Ocarina Link.
And in any case, the obviously male version of Sheik that I showed you existed for like ten years before the Brawl version was ever illustrated, so your attempt to ignore it is a complete failure in your argument.
Finally, if you're not deliberately being a jerk, why are you choosing to act like one? You didn't have the courtesy to read an artist's comments about their work, you were rude to them when they pointed out that you should have, you're deliberately continuing an argument you were asked not to start, and you haven't made the slightest effort to apologise or acknowledge that you're in the wrong. How is that not jerk behaviour? I suggest you review your conduct before you get uppity about me "insulting" you.

Not having this argument again. I think Sheik is physically a guy, since Zelda shapeshifted; you're welcome to disagree with that (though if you try to argue about it here I won't allow it), but even so, the base is my work and you have to follow my rules.

I like the base, but I don't see why everyone has to argue over the gender of the character. Sheik is was Sheik is. No need for everyone to start crap over a video game character. Look ppl, you're arguing over a game character as if it were your spouse or child. I think people can think what they want to think. To the rude pplz, If you don't like the base, find a different one and quit giving this guy heck. Bases take a while, admire the freakin art! To the artist, I know they're tickin you off pretty badly but you should just ignore them if it keeps up, kay? You don't have to stoop to their level. it's not worth it. Besides, you can just delete their comments, that's what I do. ^_^;
