Description
By the light of his lantern, he had made his way through the darkness of the cave. All had been dark, and he hadn't seen any other light since he had entered the cave. Suddenly he had seen a tiny light-providing spot in the distance and as fast as he could, he made his way through the last parts of the cave, towards the light. As soon as he had gotten close, he slowed his pace to observe his 'exit'. He thought it would be daytime, but the way ahead seemed just as dark as inside the cave. The light he had seen was real, though, but it was not quite what he had expected. It was small, glowing weakly, spreading a bluish green through the mist. He stared at it for some time, until he heard something. An innocent sounding voice, which seemed to come from all directions, whispered.

"Little light, little light,
shining weakly in the night.
Don't you see, don't you see,
why won't you get close to me.
Little light, little light,
shining weakly in the night.
Will you come, to my side.
Plea-ease let me be your guide."

The whispers, which almost seemed like a singing voice, stopped. There was something about it that was irresistable, forcing him to get closer to the swamp where the light was floating. Too close. He slipped, his lantern fell in the water and he sank towards the bottom of the treacherously deep water. All was dark once more, but this darkness would last forever for him.
Above the water, the echo of the whispers sounded, fading with every time it repeated. Barely audible it sounded for the last time.

"Little light, little light,
shining weakly in the night.
Won't you flee, won't you flee,
won't you get away from me.
Little light, little light,
shining weakly in the night.
Run away with all your might,
no-one will know that you died."

Silence returned, and all was quiet again.
