GainPlay internship artwork from back in April (shared with permission). Here, I had to change a Maori story into a children's tale, both writing the story and making illustrations (including creature design). This is inspired by the story of Whaitere, the stingray (and her newly introduced friend).
Considering the intended audience, this would probably have benefited from a simpler style (I somehow hadn't thought of that at the time, nor got feedback regarding that), but it was great practice regardless! Then again, the game this was intended for did have a more realistic illustration style either way. We'll see if this gets used at some point or not, perhaps in another form.
