...My first thought was 'pretty lights', before anything else. Is that odd?
And oh my. Gaster 'fell into his own creation'... Not the Core in this AU, I'm guessing. I suppose the adopted son he raised, and therefore influenced a great deal, could be considered his own creation, if by 'fell' we mean 'was blasted to smithereens across time and space by'.
Hm. I have a feeling that the next events might be kind of blurry for Sans, or if they aren't then too uncomfortable for him to continue. Because I get the oddest feeling while we now know the context, the things that lead up to the event and the fallout, the edges of the puzzle... We still don't know what exactly happened after it. And what exactly the consequences are. And I still feel like we won't find out a lot until later, you've already said as much.
