Every time I see the Chozzo it pisses me off how Other M toss them to the side like they're irrelevant when talking about samus's backstory and focus on much less interesting stuff.
Amazing work though, always love seeing them represented

I think they were just trying to show a part of her backstory that didn't involve the Chozo, since those are already so well-covered.

I know, right? I was hoping to see them in the game too (especially since one of the plot elements matches up exactly with the official manga), but instead, we got just Federation stuff and...stuff. XD

I should read that Manga
What I would want more than anything in a Metroid game's plot is the Chozo having a main part, where we see the importance they had on Samus's upbringing and her sense of duty and justice. (A bonus would be portraying Ridley as a sentient being, a leader rather than just a big-ol monster.) Hell, it'd be neat to play as the Chozo in a primitive form of the Power Armor.
