Code Geass - Farewell?[Episode- R2 22]
The title for this one is oddly fitting. As well as the scene itself. It's both up in the air. Are these goodbyes really goodbye? Will this really be my last Code Geass 4koma?
Even I don't know the answer to either until the end.
After this week I don't expect to make any more Code Geass 4komas. See my journal entry for more details.
If I'm happy with the end of the series I will make 4komas for the last three episodes. If I don't then they end here.
I'd really like to continue these series of 4komas, but if the series finale irritates me I don't see how I could. That ending would always be on my mind while working on them. If a series end irritates you, do you always want to keep thinking about it week after week after week? I would think not and I would hope everyone wouldn't expect me do be some kind of masochist.
I paid special attention to the angles and the settings in this 4koma. Nearly everything is like it appears in the episode. With the exception of the last panel.
I really wanted to get their position right in compared to the scene of the episode.
The backgrounds are what took the longest here. Funny enough what took a LONG time to get right was the decorative railing on the hand rails of the steps.
You'd be amazed how tricky it can be to draw a kissing scene. You basically have to start out with two circles that slightly over lap. Not too much though or it will look like they have half their head in each others mouths. Even more so when you draw the angle of the lips.
For the attentive you may notice I was trying something different with Kallen's hair. I just wanted it to look softer and have more of a flow to it while in the headband.

A recent interview with Kallen's VA was released. She talks about how Kallen was never sure of her own feelings for Lelouch until she kissed him. Before she was never sure if what she felt was just loyalty, but after the kiss she realized that she really likes this guy.
The scene itself never shows that reaction. It would seem odd that the character finally realizes she feels that way and suddenly moves on. I would only expect that the reason they didn't do it there is, because there will be a scene later on.
This gives me some level of hope for a good ending to the series.
It's just that if this series rushes some pairing with a character like Gino in these last three episodes after that scene. I will never forgive this series.

Hehehe, exactly. Great but bad scene. Not making anymore huh? Ah well, stuff happens. The ending will be terrible more than likely, you know it will, something like this can't end well enough without having some total downers.

It's kind of up in the air. If the ending is bad. This is the last. It's it's good I will finish off the series and maybe make season one.

There's a 95% possibility that Lelouch will die. His character is based on Byronic protagonists (the Father of the Anti-Hero), and what has happened to most of those characters? Well, take a look at Shakespearian fiction. Most of them, such as Romeo, Macbeth, Iago, and Hamlet, have died in the climax.
Not to mention, the series uses symbolism from Arthurian legend (most of the Britannian Knightmares are named after characters and elements from aforementioned mythology). And what happened to Arthur, who was the main character? He died.
There isn't going to be a Lelouch/Kallen happy ending. That's a load of crap.
And, the main character dying isn't necessarily a terrible ending. Look at Cowboy Bebop, Spike met his end with a "Bang," and it was fitting, for he died a warrior's death. I could think of other examples, but, my point is, there isn't going to be a happy white picket fence ending.
Oh, and, fitting comic by the way.

This is just an anime. I can understand why you want the happy ending, I do, it doesn't take rocket science to figure that out. You keep mentioning you want a happy ending so you can write more comics. I am pointing out the fact that there won't be a happy ending, at least not the kind you're envisioning.
Even if it doesn't have that ending, why not say, "Screw the ending I'll write comics anyway and parody it and write little "What if's?""

I don't see how you can automatically make that assumption when THE FINAL 3 EPISODES HAVEN'T AIRED YET! As far as we've seen in this anime, plot twists can occur one right after the other, episode after episode, and they make it good! At this point, I think its safe to assume that the only thing we can know for sure is that we know NOTHING.

Why would it even matter to you if my dream of there being a happy ending make you feel the need to correct me? What part of me holding out hope made you feel the need to "correct" me?
Making art has a lot to do with emotions. You have to absorb the feelings and become part of it. If you don't have the will to draw something then what you make will not be the best you can do.
If the ending irritates me. Every time I work on a new 4koma that ending would be on my mind and filling me with irritation. I'm not going to put myself through that.

Continue to watch and keep faith in the writers, Kallen could finally get her happy ending, and, without your 4komas everyweek, it will not be the same
I love this one (of course), and the last part is somewhat funny but still...heartbreakink too.

Well, I don't want to stop, but I'm certainly not going to put myself through the pain of that.
I don't want to sit and watch as they use three episodes to pair Kallen up with Gino. Unless I hear something that says that can't happen I'm going to avoid the show until the end. Lessen my annoyance with the show.

I don't get why people are scwabbing over pairings at a time like this... I mean, these are the last three episodes... Whatever [pairing] happens, happens. A LOT of shit is about to go down. I don't want cheesy romances interfering with that. I'm more interested in seeing the final Lancelot/Guren showdown, not watching Kallen struggle with her feelings for the remainder of the series. She's far too great a character to turn into another typical love interest now.
I love Kallen to death, and I'm fine with her ending up with Lelouch, but I really hope 22 was her conclusion(in terms of her feelings for Lulu). They've gone their separate ways twice now, a third confrontation would be repetitive and lazy.
PS: I really do hope you enjoy the final episodes so these comics can continue. They amuse me to no end.

What I'm concerned about is that they have had so much romance between Lelouch and Kallen. I don't want to be sitting back and watching for weeks on end of Her falling for Gino all of a sudden.

for some reason i keep on having this strange image in my head of when Lelouch declares his queen (and he isnt a polygamist like his father) is going to state for Kallen. but i think thats too cheesy to ever really happen.
also from the VA that u posted, it would be interesting to see what happens when they get to chat again (uninterrupted hopefully) to see what happens

I read on wikipedia that on the last episode Lelouch and Suzaku die....but im not reallly shocked because i have compared this series with death note....and we all know how Death note ends....

Those are called episode summaries.
They don't tell the actual outcome of events. The summaries that come from real Japanese magazines are vague about what the real outcome is.

ya i know but on episode 25 summary it says *SPOILER* (have to do that) farwell Lelouch and good-bye suzaku so my first thought is "OMG lelouch and suzaku are ded 0.o"
