Description
This is Jak from the uber popular video game series Jak and Daxter. This design is from the 4th game Jak X Combat Racing.I really liked Jak's look in this game. I had fun with Daxter. I drew him with the goggles down and ready to go. Notice the keychain charm. That's the symbol of Jak's family.
I got to say that this game isn't my favorite in the series, but BOY is it addictive. My biggest beef is with that bloody Peacemaker shot. I get hit with that ALL THE TIME!! Once I was hit with it 5 times in a row. I hate it because it really feels like I'm being punished for playing well.
This like pretty much all my work was hand drawn, but colored via Paintshop Pro Vr.7. The background is a screenshot of the game.

This is great! At first when I saw pictures and previews of Jak X and The Lost Frontier I was disappointed with his slight change in appearance... but I've come to love him just as much as the old Jak hahahaha....
I have a huge problem with his pants though. In Jak X it really looks like he's wearing some sort of baggy ass-less chaps.

yeah Jak 3 incorporates all his old looks into something new and cool, Jak X was just a complete change but it wasn't too bad.

Jak-X wasn't my faborite either. My favorite would have to be the third installation of the Jak and Daxter series.

Meh. My Jak-X game won't work on my game console right now for some reason. It'll go just fine until I get in a few saves, then it'll just stay on that save screen thing.
But I have to agree with you on that. I kept playing it over and over when it worked.

I love the J&D series, but, wasn't gone much on Jak X. I have been told that I was always good at racing games, but, Hero Mode on that game was freakin' suicidal!

Really, I'm not one much for racing games normally, but I handled hero mode rather well. I loved how you could customize your cars.

something funny is (I have all the Jak games on PS2)i have finished all of them and Hero mode in Jak 3
but i can't finish hero mode in Jak 2
it's cos even tho i'm Involnrable when i'm in a Turret i'm not lol
so on the part where u have to shoot the Guards with Jetpacks i get killed easily cos they are Stronger in Hero Mode lololol

Yeah, I know what you mean. That turrent segment in Hero Mode is a killer. I just kept at it and depended on my reflexes. It can get annoying in that first segment, because often times the bastards fall under your line of fire. and just stay there. Once you finish the first segment the rest is easier. Try and take them as as soon as you see them. It will take some fancy aiming.

It's not that hard. the driving physics are pretty good. I love drifting a turn and hitting the boost. It's fun.

The peace maker shot tracks who ever is in first. I came up with a way to stay in the race when I have a white square on me. HIT THE BRAKES and drop into second...The charge will zoom past and take out who ever took first. The resume racing like nothing happened.

I already use that trick, but if you are too far ahead just stopping wont help you.

True...Then it the next step is to try and out run it. But that rarely works. THe weirdest was a sudden change of place when the computer fired the peace maker and it blew them up.

Outrunning them never works. Only hope is luck in getting a shield to block the blast.

I did it once, if you cross the finish line, the shot still hits you but does not count.

But that doesn't count as "outrunning" since it hits you. That's just beating it to the finish.

different defininsions, at the end of the race, the comp takes control...so I think of it a out running.
