I find that the Peacemaker shot isn't a big of a deal if you try to not stay too far ahead of the pack. Keep an eye on the coarse map. You can sometimes see the shot coming as a fast moving purple dot. The traveling mines are red dots. When you see it hit the brakes, let the next guy pass you, wait for him to blow up as you stay behind him, then gun it once he's gone.
On one track I can get 60 kills with luck. On this track I average 30-40 kills.

On the sewer tracks dont depend on boosters. Winning those are all about control. Only use boost in long straight aways.

The sewer track is generally a pain because you have to worry about getting a good time on the course in addition to everyone else killing each other and you. << I haven't played that game in awhile though, I should.

I never really thought about drawing Daxter with the goggles down until. I saw him with the goggles down in the Jak X game and thought it was perfect for the mood. Makes itlook like he's all ready to go.

Those Peacemaker shots are a royal pain. One tip I have for avoiding those is to not stay too far ahead of the others. When you see the icon appear that a peacemaker shot has locked on I will sometimes hit the breaks and let the next person get hit. This often works.

That's pretty much what I do at times. I also like to lag behind for the first lap and get a bunch of kills until I get enough dark eco for the powered up weapons. That's when the real fun starts. On one race I average about 30 on a two lap race. Once I got 49.

This game isn't my favorite in the series, but it is fun to just sit down and play a few races. The Hero Mode in this game sucks though. In the past things were hard but you were given an advantage, but this mode it just makes things hard.

mmm, psm. i love those guys! i got in too with some jak fanart, but it wasn't even nearly as badass as this! X3 congrats on getting in!

this is one of those awesome examples where the screenshot adds a wonderful boost to the actual artwork. going with what dags said on that
one... way too many people abuse the screenshot use [i know i do. D:] but you did a wonderful job as far as making it... well... WORK really well.
i thought you'd actually completed the bg yourself at first since it blends so seamlessly. kudos on that!

your style is unlike any other i've ever seen. @_@ very yummy. i love the blending and details on jak's outfit... and daxter with his little goggles

The background was a tough choice to make. It needed to be heroic and express the action in the game.

I gave Daxter the goggles, because I thought it was different and matched the, "getting ready to ride" mood.

I did like Jak 3 more. I do like Jak's racing gear. Jak 2 was a lot of fun, but there were so many glitches that messed with the game. I so hope the continue the series. I haven't seen anything though.

Hey, ya... I remember seein' this in PSM.

I like the usage of the screenshot. Most artists would just get a screen, and slap it on there 'cause it "looks cool" or some reason like that. But I think you actually bothered with balance and color contrast... The yellowy-orange explosion sets off Jak's hair.

Yeah, it just seems polite.

Best tips for drawing Daxter is for the head I make a circle and then an oval for the mouth/jaw area. and then I make a sort of teardrop shape for he body and make the tail off that to a point.

Meh, I never even got to the hero mode on Jak X. I'm not a big fan of racing games (I'm a platform freak), so I'm not very good at them. I mainly got Jak X just to complete my collection, cos I'm a little fantard. I did however like the Hero Mode in Jak 2, that was kicked ass! I've completed that game like 10 times cos it's my fave out of the series.

Thanks. I can tell you're a real Jak and Daxter fan. I love this series as well. I've played and beat them all. Except PSP "Daxter".

I didn't like the Hero mode in Jak X though. Normally Hero mode made things harder, but with some kind of payoff, like invincibility or infinite ammo. Only thing this one did was make everything harder.
