I hope you enjoy this small 6 panel comic I made. It's based on the Evangelion characters Shinji and Asuka.I speak a little German, but I always thought about how Shinji must feel whenever Asuka would go ona rant in German. She's just bitching him out and he has NO idea what she is even saying.
I do think this is how many fans feel.
This was hand drawn in pencil, but I scaned and inked on my computer. I was just trying something new. I normaly ink by hand.

Well, the whole idea was to kind of put you into Shinji's shoes at first. You're like, "What the hell?".

I doubt it. Most people will look a picture over before reading and will notice the English at the end.

Asuka is to smart for anyone, let alone shinji. She just lacks common sense.

Sometimes when a person is reacting on reflex they don't do it in another language. Asuka naturally speaks in German.

and i really like you're style how to draw the persons ant other (i'm so sorry, my english is so bad.. -.- )
hehehe, interesting translation...hmm...
may i help you a little: "oh my sweetheart" hehe in german it means: "oh mein Geliebter" or "oh mein Liebster", cause "oh mein Liebchen" sounds a little strange >.<
and a better translation for "du perverser Mensch, Schwein" is "du Perversling!! Schwein!!!" --> in english it's " you pervert!!!"
But this translaton is not so bad!!! it's really good, cause german is such a different language!!! (i know it, it's my second language... oh man)

wunderbare Idee und Umsetzung .
Ich habe Evangelion in deutsch und in englisch gesehen , leider kommt diese lustige Sprachbarriere in der deutschen Version nicht so gut rΓΌber .

I haven't bought the series yet. I bet the German version is a bit odd near the end. Hearing Shinji talking German, but when Asuka talks to her stepmother in German he thinks about how he can't understand her.
