I was watching "Naruto" ep.197 and this episode replaced the usual opening with clips from the "Naruto Movie 3". I saw the scene where Sakura throws the shuriken. It looks cool and dramatic. It's so rare that we get to see Sakura kicking butt.I wanted to be sure I didn't make her body look too mature since she's a young teen. Notice the 'slightly' larger forehead.
I put all the background lines at a slight curve to give more of a feeling of movement. My french curve wasn't long enough so I had to draw those freehand for the most part.
One of my favorite touches is the motion blur on the shuriken.
I hope you all enjoy and I want to hear your comments. Please be a lil' kind. It's my first time drawing Sakura.

Same age, generally. This story is pre-time skip. The movies never really stick to canon.

I am a new deviant so I don't have any of my pics up, but I will eventually. I got a big binder at home filled with fanart just waiting to show off! Seeing that I don't have a scanner is a big bump in my road as an artist on deviant.

Yeah, scanners do help. A few birthdays ago my mom got me a scanner/printer. It's pretty cool.

All I can say is that in my case your lucky. I was thinking since I am so desprete to get my stuff on this site that I use my digital camera, but I've seen pictures 'scanned' that way and it doesn't work out. I guess I'll have to wait till someone I my family gets one or better yet, me.

Dynamic isn't very hard. It's all the foreshadowing and the curved angles. Notice how there are so few straight lines. Almost everything has a slight curve.

I really like the redesign in her outfit into a modified, two piece thing.
The curving of the room gives the picture a nice effect and you should be proud of those blurred kunai you did. Excellent work

That's not my design. Like the title says. This is her outfit in the 3rd naruto movie.
