Description
I was inspired for this picture by the cover of the Kingdom Hearts game. This version has Shinji and Asuka standing on the fingers of Unit 01 as they look to the sky over Tokyo-3.It was funky working out the scale of the Evas to humans. It kind of jumped in the series as the scenes required.
This is traditionaly drawn, but colored using Paintshop Pro Vr.7. The coulds were actually a last minute addition. I really think it adds something to it.

Well, I designed Shinji to show a suffering. Asuka is bothered, and Rei looks awfully aware of what's happening.

The NGE characters are usually drawn in exaggerated NGE style. I think they benefit from the departure here

I think if someone wants to draw teh chaarcters as they are normally seen is cool. If you do it right. I really think you should just draw things as you see them. Stay true to the character's design, but put your own slant on it.
