No no no, this is the good kind of paradox. What would be bad is if Future!Twilight somehow managed to keep ponies from watching TV and read books instead. That would change the timeline, which is all fine and dandy for Present!Twilight, but it would result in the dooming of Future!Twilight's timeline (because now the events leading up to her traveling to the past wouldn't transpire), and thus the dooming of Future!Twilight herself. And when that happens, dead Twilights start piling up.
Timetravel doesn't have to make sense, just be consistent with how you use it. Also, try to use it in such a way that discourages a neverending army of time travelers trying to alter a single event to their favor (cf. Terminator).

Everypony keeps calling this a paradox, but what it really is is a stable time loop. A paradox is when time travel makes it possible for something to cause itself *not* to happen. A stable time loop is when time travel makes it possible for something to cause itself to happen. It's perfectly logical, but trying to figure out where the chain begins will make your head hurt, because it HAS no beginning and no end.

Not a paradox in the traditional sense, per say, but rather a causality loop. All instances of time travel are a part of the natural flow of the time line. I'm quite happy that many people seem to finally be catching on to the mechanics of it. When "It's About Time" first aired, it was so aggravating how many times I saw people just not grasp the concepts behind this form of time travel. I've honestly been half driven to Twilight levels of teeth grinding at watching people be simply incapable of understanding this concept.
Why does everypony assume the natural shape of time has to be linear!

Time Travel is really something that should be left to the professionals, like people with Doctorates... or people in Star Trek who have a history of blundering their way through time travel incidents.
