One of my friends is expecting a baby, and I may or may not have gone slightly mad making things for the baby...

This is the only thing I photographed before giving the mum to be a small bundle of knitted items - a baby blanket, cat hat, mittens and bootees (blue as its a boy). I rarely post baby things online as they're not really that interesting and I follow the patterns pretty much to a T.

However, I couldn't resist showing this guy off - they own a pet Tortoise (called Arthur) and as I didn't know the sex, I decided to make a plushie version. In the book, its multicoloured, but it was easy enough to change the colours to something a little more natural.

Three people tried to 'claim' this guy before I presented it to the bump (4 months and it'll be a baby!) and his mother decided that it was too cute for the baby and she's have it. I could make the baby something more boring like a bunny or a teddy...

Meh. At least someone's happy! And one thing I've learned over time, never ever argue or disagree with a pregnant lady, especially when its hot!

Time to knit more baby things! Squee!
