Wonderful! Although, would I be correct to say this looks colour inverted?

Thank you, Cameron! I'll write you a note explaining what I did here. It isn't colour inverted.

Beautiful comment! Thank you, Leonie! I think there are some tulips called "Blushing Beauty".

Tulips, roses or both? hehe!

Maybe both! Yes, I'll take both!

I'm trying to find that Maukie comment. Where did you go, Maukie? Oh well, I have you here now. Did you move your mouse and play with Maukie? He used to be so popular that he caused multiple web sites to crash! He's the perfect pet. He's talented, yet he needs no litter box. (And he's not a dog.)

I dunno! LOL!
Yes I did play with him - AND I've played with him before! hehe!
That's crazy that he could cause crashes!

I remember reading that Maukie's creator had to take him off of her web site because it couldn't handle all the traffic!

That's crazy! It's just amazing what becomes popular on the net!

I like Maukie myself, but I agree that the net can seem strange. I know of women who work full-time at challenging careers, have young children at home, and still manage to play one Facebook game after another! Where do they find the time, I wonder?

It would mean less fractal-making! That would be unbearable!

Ew, that's hard to imagine! It's not often but sometimes I wonder what it would be like not to have a computer - in the long term - and wonder what I would do to fill my days!

I'd like to live way out in the bush - but only if there's Internet service! Ha ha ha!

very lovely.
(I usually use some extra contrast when brightening anything, and sometimes turn it down when darkening... doesn't always work but it might help)

Thank you, Charles! I appreciate the tip! I must have tried about 8 different things to get the white parts of this to look whiter. Each time, the result was too many coloured parts missing! Maybe the problem is that the colours are so delicate and faint to start with.

that could be... not sure if the editor you are using has it, but Photoshop has an Auto Adjust that con sometimes help... check if it has that, Auto Adjust, Auto Color, or Auto Levels...
very welcome

Thanks! I'll try every "Auto" I can find!
Actually, though, I think it looks quite nice as it is. Maybe I'll let the Blushing Beauty rest and try out my new tips next time around. I like using white backgrounds, so the opportunity will definitely arise again.
