This is another fractal version of a Peggy Brown painting - [link]
The frame and signature were added using RealDraw, the image was created with UF and I have the parameters to prove it.

I truly wish I knew how to use UF like this. One of the best abstracts I've ever seen... In any medium. Mad jealous of your skills, but a brilliant piece.

If you are serious about learning UF, my suggestion would be to buy Janet Parke's e-books based on the courses she taught. I've been learning UF for several years now and only now am feeling like I can do some of the things I've been wanting to do. There are several other fractal artists that I am still jealous of. Thank you for your very lovely compliment.

Ooooh... Thanks for the advice. I am going to have to look that book up. Thank you, thank you.

I am going to look into this... Eventually. Broke, right now, of course, but her work is truly amazing, and her (and your) abstracts are exactly what I would love to learn to do. So... Yes. I'm doing this. Thanks so much for your help!!

If I can be of help, share some parameters, just ask.

This is so gorgeous! You did a great job capturing the feeling of the painting and...um...I'm totally flattered that you used my texture parameters.

Thank you very much. I've got some other texture params but I always seem to go back to yours. They worked perfectly to create the cloth-like look I wanted and with a little tweaking, I used them for the light background grid too.

Tell her thanks too. Did you get UF?

The more I look at your works, the more I am amazed by how good you are at using UF. Not only for the kind of outcomes you get... the point is, you start with a project in mind, and you're able to carry it out wonderfully, whatever image you're trying to obtain. I suppose this is due to your long experience with the program, but still... I had never met anyone able to make exactly what he or she wants with a fractal program, up to now.
And I had started thinking it was impossible!

Thank you for this lovely comment. I'm still working on getting it to do "exactly" what I want. One of things I've been wanting to try is a fractal version of a Kandinsky painting. Your encouragement is just what I need to attempt it.

No problem, I think you'll be able to in no time. I wish I could use UF to my liking just like you do

The white looks like cloth! I like the background for some odd reason... you make Fractal art really more interesting then i thought it was...

Thank you. The background was probably the most involved part of this fractal. I still like to do the spirals and other typical 'fractally' things but I'm really having a lot of fun doing these more abstract ones.

yeah it reminds me of a collage in a way... i don't normally like abstract things... but this is cool!

This is a FRACTAL? The textures are so real and do such an amazing job of enhancing the image. I easily mistook this as some sort of a collage. Very well done

This abstract looks like cloth laid on concrete, with the gold piece as a weight. The 'folds' add to the illusion of fabric.
Another interesting image!

I am having a lot of fun with these abstracts and really like how the "rumpled satin" texture created the folds in this one. Peggy Brown has some amazing paintings and "art quilts" that are very inspiring.
Thanks.
