I want that table. So badly. It's the most epic table I've ever seen.

Wow,the design is epic!
How did you manage to fix the legs on the tabletop?

Sorry for the longcoming reply >.< I've been on a hiatus for....awhile
Anyway, the legs are fixed with a wooden peg, a hole drilled into the leg and into the tabletop. There is no metal in the piece, it's all wood joinery and glue.
And tears. Lots and lots of tears.

I've always like this table. It has stayed in my mind for a long time. I hope you don't mind, I featured it in my journal [link] If you'd rather not be there just give me a heads up and I'll remove you. Thank you and keep making great art!

This is beautiful: simple and yet crazy. It's such a unique little table and I just love the sense of personality you get from looking at it. Awesome job.

Oh, that is so darn cool! At first glance it looks just downright structurally unsound: I can see applying too much pressure to one side and having it tip over; the deception is very awesome. It must have taken some real thought and creativity to pull it off. xD The colours of the wood are combined beautifully, as well; very rich and warm, while still being eye-catchingly varied. Lovely work. ^__^

Thank you. I struggled for a while with how to make it structurally sound, and while it will obviously never be able to bear copious amounts of weight, it still holds a fair amount. I try not to use it though, it'll scratch up the finish! ^__~

Hahaha, that seems to be the catch 22 of functional art; you get the pleasure of making real use of it and integrating it into your everyday life, but sometimes they're just too pretty to use too much! XD

Hahaha, very true, but I get my joy out of making. I'd sell it if my mother would let me, but she gets too attached to the stuff I make. It's infuriating really. ^___^U

Nooo, I totally don't blame her! D: You're lucky, I suppose, that you derive pleasure from the fabrication more than the final product. XD The only art I can bring myself to sell is purely digital; I can never tear myself apart from anything created traditionally. It's just too personal. I don't understand how professional artisans can bear it!

Haha, I dunno, it's just a mindset for me I guess. I'm a craftsperson by nature. Wherever I go I make things, I generally leave them behind for other people to find too. I take home and photograph the really good things, but I leave a lot of stuff where I make it.
Except for paintings, which I do sell, but, those I tend to make in a much more personal setting. There's something about a canvas that just makes me pour my soul out.

That's a great poise it has there.
It reminds me of some kind of wobbly, hooved animal with legs too long for it's body. I like it! I would gladly put this in my home.
