Great execution of a wonderful concept. I've always enjoyed the "Then and Now" idea, how great to have the family connection.

i've been trying to get my dad to retake all his 1975 photos, because he fixed the camera he took them on. but we just haven't gone and done it. unfortunately, my comparison pics are 35 mm, and mostly from my first trip to the building so they suck. but it's interesting to see the damage. hopefully in a few years we can take a 3rd series, to show the place fixed up.

i was hoping he could have done them last year, when the clock was installed in the building but we ran out of time (the clock can't weather the winter in the building, so it lives in downtown buffalo now). we'll have to settle for reshots without the clock.

either that or you could make a diptych... featuring the clock it its new location...

i could...it's not in a pretty place, right now it's just corporate art - although they decorate it for christmas...if i get down that way i'll take a few shots. it could really be a 9736tych because i have photos of when i found it in an architectural salvage store in chicago. and photos of us putting it together in the concourse after we got a grant to buy it back...etc.

wow... great story...
you should do something with it... maybe you could submit images to your scraps... then post them with the story in your journal... kind of like a small magazine article...
