Description
Just trying out the new submission process. Much nicer, tho I don't know what the difference between "add text" and "artist's comments" are yet...oooh add text is for written art...i get it.Cincinnati Union Station - designed by Fellheimer and Wagner, the architects of the Buffalo Central Terminal. Obviously completely restored and wonderfully reused.

hahahaha i was in cincinnati to see nine inch nails. and since i work for buffalo central terminal, and none of us had seen the cinci terminal i stopped on the way to the venue. beautiful space and i'm so jealous of what they've turned it into.
so i live in buffalo, and when my friend and i were planning which concerts to see, we were like, yeah, cinci, that's not far, it's in ohio. yeah. i didn't realize it was at the exact opposite south side of the state. it took us 7 hours to get there, and we ended up in kentucky. i didn't even know ohio bordered kentucky!!! hahah we're stupid.

a tambourine kind of makes sense... not hard to throw... catchable...
but a guitar?... a guitar is heavy... and shaped oddly (i.e., hard to catch)...
i think if i saw a guitar coming my way, i'd duck... i certainly not try to catch it...

haha the funny things...for the tambourine trent reznor just stood on the stage right in front of me and sorta lobbed it right to me. wasn't hard at all. with the guitar... aaron north broke the head off and threw it to the audience. and it was really way over our heads. no way could i have jumped and even touched it. of course melee ensued, i turn around and i don't see my friend and i just knew she had it. she fought off all the other ppl grabbing at it and got it. it's red. hehe

oh... just the head... i was picturing the whole damn thing whizzing through the air...
as an aside... a friend of mine helped fix his mac... at the time, she was one of the 'mac geniuses' at a store in the beverly center... he came in with a problem... she fixed it... and got tickets (with backstage passes) for his next show in los angeles...

no no no she has the whole guitar, minus the head. he threw it to the audience cuz he broke the head off. haha i'll have to find the picture of her with it after the show all giddy. lets just say, i was the one who had to drive home that night.
and dont tell me things like that. 28 shows later i still haven't met the bastard!

haha knowing a name would require having met us. he knows we're there. he acknowledges us from the stage. and the whole tambourine thing. that show he also came right to us during "piggy" when he comes off the stage for people to molest him. and molest we did haha. had my face in his stomach the whole time. it was nice. i'm a fangirl.

yeah it's gonna be quite the experience i think. i went to london alone when i was 17, but it was a bit different back then, as i was staying with friends. this will truely be on my own. a bit scared with the language barrier but my parents think it'll be ok. they managed in italy twice.

i doubt that language will be much of a barrier... unless you venture quite a bit off the beaten track...

at this point the only plans that are solid are being in the concert cities for the concerts. beyond that, and some early research into what i want to see, i have no clue what i'll be doing. i hate making plans and booking hotels because what if on X day i want to go somewhere else...but i think i'll totally stress out if i don't have some things planned out for this trip before i go. my travel agent friend said most of the hotels require the employees to speak english, so we'll have that least. and i do know how to say about 5 things in french, but i'm not sure "where's the beef?" is going to be very helpful
