feeling nostalgic-y so i'm posting a set of older photos of BCT. from my first trips. it's funny to look at these now because 1. you can see how much better i've gotten and 2. you can see how much better the building has gotten - which is great. people don't realize that we've come a long way since we opened to the public in 2003, and no one knew what it was like before that...you can almost eat off the floors now...ok well not really haprints available at [link]

You are correct, I never considered photographing the inside simply because I was nervous about being robbed. Historically amazing, fantastic architecture... just a shame the neighborhood declined in standards!

we've never had any problems at the building in the 4 years i've been involved with the organization. i've been there all times of day and night and aside from the stray cop and ambulance parked in our lot, we don't see many people around. i wouldn't go drive the side streets at night, but the immediate terminal area is fine. things are turning around (finallly)

i'm on the board of directors of the Central Terminal Restoration Corporation. the building is closed until April, but we're open to the public for numerous events and fundraisers that we hold there throughout the summer. [link]

haha it's slow going, but people come and every year the tell us they notice how much better it's looking. far from pristine or restored, but we do what we can.
