this kind of construction (double exposures, more or less) seems to fit your imagery style really well... you should definitely try more... if you don't mind me offering an opinion...
oh... have you tried doing this with film... and doing it in-camera?...

these few experiments were with film, out of camera....with the old pentax i used in college i attempted double exposures that didn't work. and i think i tried with the nikon, as it's supposed to let you do them if you use a certain button or something but couldn't get it to work either (just kept advancing). i may try again as i found some film i have no use for.

it isn't too hard...
there should be a button on the button of the camera... the one you push before rewinding the film (rewinding when you are finished)... all you need to do is to push that button (and hold it) while advancing the frame, so that the shutter will arm...
by pushing the button, you pull the gears off the film holes... then when you advance the lever (again, while holding the button), the shutter will arm... but the film will not have moved... so, when you make your next exposure, it will re-expose the same piece of film...
and that should work on the nikon as well as the pentax...

thats what should have happened on the pentax but didn't...and the nikon, i'm not sure that'll work if it auto advances? there is definitely a different button/setting to use on the nikon, i just couldn't get it to work haha
