The moment this loaded the first thing out of my mouth was β€œwhoa!” Seriously. I love the variety of colors in this one and the little details, especially the bubbles in the white area on the right. I can’t get enough of it. Gah, these are just so cool!

i don't know how other people feel... but i think this is some of your best work... i really do... the color is lovely... and i love the small scratches... it adds a lot to the overall feel of decay/disentegration...

you know... now that i think of it... the decay/disentegration theme is found in a lot of your work...

and oh... to anyone who is reading the comments... full view the image... it really benefits from it...

haha in a way it's kinda sad that melting film is my best stuff but thank you. glad people like them, because other people i showed them to were unimpressed.

hhhmmm... i see your point... but... you are making a number decisions with the negative work as well... it is just less obvious than other work...

here's a thought... have you tried sandwiching the burnt negatives with standard negatives?...

fragilemidnight In reply to mgilpin [2006-09-04 19:24:32 +0000 UTC]

i have not thought about that, and i'm not sure how well that would work to scan...the melted ones are all wavy and fucked up and don't sit in the negative holder correctly. so scanning it on top of a standard negative would be difficult and i'd be afraid i'd wreck the real negative...i think it would have to be something done in post haha. and then it might not have the same effect. i'll have to play around.

(nodding)... that's right... you're using a negative scanner... not a flatbed...

that said, post may work...
