Description
i'm not entirely happy with this shot because i don't think i captured it well - but what i find so striking about this scene is that the stacks are so black, everything smells of tar and chemicals, everything is black, but the pipes are so clean and white. it's been years since this was used, and it's not dirty in the slightest bit. it was shocking against the black of the ovens. will have to try to shoot this one again next time.Related content

My room should be made of the same material as the white tubes
I like your old factory shots There is something about metal, tubes, rust...
I like the shapes and the textures... Am I weird?
I read what you wrote about digital vs analog.
I'm really happy about digital, even I never did anything with analog except
teenage birthday photos. But I like to be in control, to be able to change
the lights and the shadows, saturation of different colors, every little detail
until I say... wow! this feels incredible!
For example in your picture above I would reduce the saturation of blue,
maybe even make it gray. Then the rest would stand out even more,
at least that's how I feel...
Greetings and say hi if you come to Berlin

haha i could definitely use a kitchen and bathroom made out of that pipe material haha.
factories are oddly beautiful, and most people don't realize it. it was really amazing to look at the things there and think, wow Man somehow figured out how to do all this to make *fill in the blank*, with all these pipes and wires, and it's just incredible.
thx for the advice, i'll have to play around with it.
