Description feeling nostalgic-y so i'm posting a set of older photos of BCT. from my first trips. it's funny to look at these now because 1. you can see how much better i've gotten and 2. you can see how much better the building has gotten - which is great. people don't realize that we've come a long way since we opened to the public in 2003, and no one knew what it was like before that...you can almost eat off the floors now...ok well not really ha

If I can find a weekend my friend is actuall available and can grab his car from his mom, we're sooo gunna roadtrip up to visit you and go abandoned/decay hunting with our cameras!

That's one thing that excites me about the possibility of going to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh the most, such an old city.

these are nice... but it easy to see that your imagery has improved quite a bit...

thanks for sharing these...

oddly i find it very difficult to shoot the terminal. maybe its because ive taken every picture possible, and so has everyone else. plus i'm burned out with the place so its hard for me to see it with "new eyes" again.

some subjects are just tough to capture...

have you thought of 'deconstructing' it a bit?...objects like that are experienced in time... and three dimensions... you could try to show all those perspectives at once... you know, the cubist approach...

i think that is beyond my capabilities. that whole not considering myself an artist thing, i tend not to be able to think cubist like hah

well... that'd be a problem...

that said, i may still disagree with your being an artist...

This place is so much better off than Michigan Central.

oh god i know haha. its wrong for me to say, but i was happy to see how bad MCS was, and that detroit had still wanted to turn it into the police station. of course i realize the decision makers probably hadnt stepped a foot inside, but it gave me hope that something will be done with BCT eventually...when we get a rich benefactor.

do you know the story about the dead homeless woman in MCS in june? i hadnt heard anything new about it other than she was probably there when i was...creepy
