Description la la la this batch of photos turned out shite. i don't know what's wrong. none were in focus, they look fine and colorful on the lcd and on the comp in the thumbnail but when i open them, they are dull and flat and the pretty sunset colors go away...

I never trust the LCD. To check for sharpness I usually zoom way in and to make sure I got the exposure I read the histogram... The preview on an LCD just sucks. Anyhow, these shots don't look all that bad to me... Did you fix all those flaws you mentioned in photoshop?

I learned not to trust the LCD for exposure, as my first few shoots with it everything looked fine on the LCD but was way too dark on the computer. I turned the brightness down on the LCD and bracket everything and it's been fine. The color thing is what is bugging me with this shoot. It was all nice orangy buttery light, looked fine on the LCD, looked fine as thumbnails in photoshop, but once opened all that color was gone...and that hasn't happened before. Everything is just washed out. I ended up using alot of filters on these and turning alot to b&w to compensate for the lack of color. Irritated though because it was such nice light... grr
