Description
This is an old picture, but it needs to be here. Eltoshan is my favorite character from Fire Emblem IV.On the cold and silent ground,
He lay without complaint;
His head so fair lay over there
Far from his body's taint.
His precious blood, his lifeblood sweet
Spread cold across the floor
Each drop more fine than sacred wine,
Would warm him nevermore.
His splendid coat, so soft, so grand
Wrapped 'round his body cold;
His gleaming hair, so bright, so fair
Like Heaven's liquid Gold
Lay at my feet, and Eltoshan
Would see me nevermore;
His empty eyes and silent cries
Tore at my every pore.
Ah! I weep for Eltoshan!
My brother, oh my heart,
Your vacant eyes see Paradise,
But I am torn apart.
Once so warm, so full of love,
Your severed head lies still;
Your smile so rare is now a stare
Accusing of the kill.
Blood runs down your perfect face,
The face so pale now;
Your heart so bold shall soon grow mold
Dear brother of my vow.
Ah! I weep for Eltoshan!
Valiant you have stood
Despite the stings, the broken wings,
You've taught me all that's good.
Knightly brother Eltoshan!
How well we've fought before!
But now your breath's been killed by death,
I can do nothing more.
Brother! Your ruby blood congeals,
Your golden hair is red;
The worms, they meet, prepared to eat
Your perfect, silent head.
Would that I could trade your place!
For your lot is the best;
You've passed Death's door, your heart's not sore,
But mine!
Mine shall have no rest!

Ok, I think the poetry was a little.....much. I mean yeah, judgeing by what my brother said, he was a ovios badass, but its FE IV, Its like that anima "X" only on a super famicon.

I don't know the character, but this piece is beautiful. The bright colours, butterflies, and flowers kind of counterbalance the fact that his head is cut off, so it has an almost dreamlike feel to it. Very nice work.

I never played the game, but I can still say that this is a beautiful picture. The way his hair shines and flows is very good, and the trickle of blood that forms a pool on his neck reminds you that this picture isn't all so serene.

My goddess.. that is beautiful. Both the art and the poem, which is just another form of art. I love how the roses and butterflies hide the fact that his head is severed, and then you slowly figure it out. Or at least, that's what happened to me, since I tend to stare at art before I read the commentary.
