I look at all ur lightning piture and this is my fav. It just so excitingly amazing. (Remember there is always lightning sprites when lightning is present!)

Sprites are powerful (3-5 times powerful than normal lightning) and they are huge. Sprites often start around in the mesosphere and go upwards to the edge of the ionosphere, and some just shoot off into space. Sometimes downwards into the stratosphere. Most of them are red colour except there tendril are bluish. They stretch vertically 45 mile give and take, and tens of a mile across. Sprite last 100 of a second. Often to fast to be seen. They mostly take place in active thunder storms.
I learn this on the discovery channel one day. So now every time I see lightning, it always remind me of sprites.
U can look up pictures on google or yahoo or ask or....u get the point.

Wow that is some wild stuff. Imagine, being in space and seeing the quickest flash of a red sprite... that's insane! Now I'm always gonna think of that when I see lightning Thanks for sharing

Thank you These lightning photos were taken when there was a beautiful sunset on the horizon, so the colors turned out great

great picture! how do you get all these lightning pictures? I try but cant ever catch one.. i guess its just luck? haha

Haha, it's ALL skill! Usually you can get cloud to cloud lightning pictures if you have your camera set on a higher ISO...just in case you wanted to try to get a few pics
