Knowing Capcom and how they like to come out with new updates for their fighting games, I wouldn't be surprised if a new version of MvC3 would come out.
Though I think they'd probably include characters which would appear in future Marvel movies first (think Rocket Raccoon that will most likely be in a future Guardians of the Galaxy movie).

In retrospect, they really are! To be honest, I didn't know about the character until they announced he'd be in the game. I just drew him from the few images I managed to find.
