Description I wanted to do a colorful Native American drawing for a while, but since I didn't really trust myself to do it right on the first try, I got a little help from a tutorial video. His version is done with markers but since I don't have any, I went with color pencils. This is actually really nice, I love it!
It would look even more amazing if you had added texture to the feathers

Thanks Yeah, I agree, it would look better with some more detail. I was following the video so I didn't do anything extra but when I looked at it later it definitely seemed like it was missing something. Maybe I'll add something to it later just to see how it looks.

you could just experiment by making another one, it looks awesome when you look at someone's gallery and you can see how people improve. If you do add to it it'd be cool to see it

I'll definitely make another one at some point, most likely from a different angle and with a different design. Agreed, I really like seeing people's improvement through time, it's very encouraging.

your blending is amazing, what do you think your best artistic ability is?

Yeesh, that's a tough question. I'm trying to develop as many techniques as I can equally and right now, I'm probably going to focus on drawing faces since I'm not very happy with how many of them have turned out in the past. I did the same with hands for a period of time and I saw a fair bit of improvement, so hopefully the same will happen again. Thank you for the compliment, of course Out of curiosity, what do you think your strong suit is when it comes to art?

strongest suit i can probly do is copy something without tracing , its pretty dead on with some things , but im also very into ink techniques so id probly be best in that suit aswell, its kind of hard for me to actually think of things off the top of my mind (this might be the cause for being able to copy things to a degree) but anyhow i make changes to the things i copy , but it also helped me to creat a few things on my own by learning from multiple styles and diffrent art means. Its a wonderful world allready explored by others to help you get ahead of them after awhile and help others surpass yourself.

I also do a lot of copying for practice purposes since I'm very new at this drawing thing and I'd say I'm decent at it. I'd like to eventually be able to draw directly from memory but that'll take a lot more practice.

yeah, its quite hard , i think thats what really makes a great artist , the things ive done without copying turned out better than previois things ive dome by far, even if my skill level was low.

It's a great way to practice, that's for sure. It's the same way with many things, be it sports, writing or other art forms; copy the ones who do it really well until you develop your own style and techniques. I can't say that I've managed to develop any sort of style just yet, but I've only been doing it for about three months.

yeah i think ive adopted stippling as my own, its just so much easier for me and i can dot away for long periods of time.
