Pencil sketch for a new t-shirt design for Palmetto State Park in Texas. The park is home to Ottine Swamp, stomping ground of a hulking, largely unseen "Thing" that stalks people, shakes parked cars violently, slams into mobile homes, and throws rocks at people. Photographed in April, 2011 and last seen in June, 2014, the "Thing" is little known outside of south central Texas, where it has been harassing locals since the 1920's. Wandering the San Marcos River bottoms between Luling and Gonzales, Texas, this creature occasionally leaves tracks like an ape's, with four long toes, a pointed heel, and a slight nub of a "big" toe. It differs from BigFoot in being less physically apelike, much more aggressive, and being able to melt or seemingly disappear into its swampy environment. In this regard, it appears to be similar to the more famous Fouke Monster of neighboring Arkansas. Thanks for looking as always!
