How about this, the light going across the angel's shadow should be more of a streak and less of a haze. That is where you will have to decide to come up or go down with the light. Then the feathers that are coming towards the viewer should maybe have a bit a shadow streaking off of them as well. Past that, you've got a really cool piece here.

Hi,
It's not so much that there is anything wrong with the shadow, it's that the shadow shouldn;t be there at all.
Because of the way the character is suspended in space, there isn't anything for a shadow to be cast onto.

ItΒ΄s too strong. Somehow changes the point of attention of the image to the lowest half. ItΒ΄s realistic, but just donΒ΄t help the eyes to look at the character.

The first thing I thought of when I saw this was: "Bam!"
I made quite an impact. The background is great and you have just enough light around the subject to make out some of the subtleties.
My biggest crit is that the cast shadow doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Perhaps there is something I'm missing.
Overall, nice piece with a strong sense of emotion.
