"DON'T LET THEM GET AWAY, RON!" You had long ago stopped fighting, knowing the wounds on your body needed to be healed, or you could parlays yourself.

Ronald glanced at you as he swung his lawnmower at the demon standing in front of him. His face was caked with blood, and he looked as if he were about to pass out, but he kept fighting. His attacks were growing weaker with every swing that he took. You knew he wouldn't last much longer.

Grimacing, you stood up. It would be another hour before you actually had any souls to collect, and you couldn't afford to get overtime."Ron, stop before you kill yourself." You jumped in front of him, holding your scythe out in front of you. 'I'm Not getting more overtime. This was only bearable because of the sexy demon I got to spend time with.' Slowly, you proceeded to attack the demon that towered above you, making sure to keep a eye on the others behind him as well.

"Well then, Faustus. Shall I make your death quick and painless, or shall I give you a taste of true despair?" You smirked at him, feeling Sebastian stand beside you. "Or better yet, I could have the one behind me take your pathetic life, while I stand off to the side, laughing. Well? It's your choice." Running your hand through your (h/c) hair, you stepped to the side, giving the crow room to attack the spider.

Sebastian looked between you and Claude, aware that you had met the other demon before. "My Lady, are you sure you wish me to kill him? He could be a useful pawn to both you and the young master in the future." He locked his crimson eyes on yours. "While I-"

"Just kill him already, Sebastian."

Turning back to Ronald, who lay half dead beside you, you allowed yourself to fall onto the ground. Finally allowing your exhaustion to take over, you fell asleep to the sounds of silverware clashing and screaming mortals. It was all coming to an end.

Opening your eyes, you found yourself staring into bright crimson orbs. "Sebastian??" You reached up and pulled him closer to you. He was drenched with blood and sweat, but he still had that trademark smirk on his face. "Sebastian, are you alright? Is Ronald alright?" You held him closer. "Oh no! Sebastian, the souls!!! I didn't get to reap the souls!!!!!" Tears began to fall down your cheeks. You had never failed at your job.

Sebastian began to laugh. "Don't worry, (y/n). Knox managed to drag his sucky butt over there and do the reaping." He cleared his throat, his smirk never faltering. "Please excuse my language..." Gathering you into his warm embrace, he stood up and began heading back to the manor.

"What about Ron? We can't just leave him here." You glanced over Sebastian's shoulder at the unconscious blonde. Ronald lay curled up, his head resting beside his knees. You had never seen him this way. Even though you were supposedly the best shinigami, you had always look up to the annoying blonde. You admired his ability to never get overtime.

Sighing, Sebastian quickly took you back to the manor, then went back for Ron. When he returned a few minutes later, you immediately began to wrap Ron's wounds to stop the bleeding. "He's a shinigami, (y/n). This won't kill him." Sebastian took your hands in his, and pulled you away from the seemingly lifeless reaper and up against his chest. "Honestly, sometimes I wonder about you. You seem to forget that you are immortal...." He buried his face in your hair.

For the next few minutes, you just stood there, leaning against him. 'Screw the rules. My boyfriend is a demon and nothing will change that. If I get in trouble, then so be it.' You nuzzled your face into his shirt. "I'm sorry. I guess I'm still not used to being so...loved by anyone. I don't want anything to happen to any of my friends...and I especially don't want anything to happen to you." You felt Sebastian wrap his arms tighter around you.

"Hey, if all you are going to do is cuddle, then go cuddle somewhere else. I'd rather not have to tell a lie to senpai if he asks me about how you and the demon were getting along." You turned around to see Ron sitting up on the counter, trying to glare and look serious, but miserably failing as he was grinning.

You glared at him. "Oh shut up! We saved your life(not) you ungrateful little snot."

Sebastian laughed at you as he picked you up and carried you into his room.
