You sat there, staring at Sebastian and his gracefully leisurely movements while cleaning. It amazed you how he could move so slowly but still get the job done so swiftly and flawlessly. You sipped on some warm tea which Sebastian had found his busy time out of his schedule to make you some of. He walked around the room in his normal posture, as your eyes scanned his actions out of the corner of them.

Hours… you have spent hours just watching him and you had no clue why. After the encounter with Alois and his butler, Claude, Sebastian had gone back to his normal self as of you… you felt different. You realized how Sebastian would always be there, maybe not intimately, but to serve you. That made you feel closer to him in a strange way. You looked down at your free hand and stared at the crow feather laying in your palm.

After staring at it in admiration, you looked back up to see Sebastian had disappeared from the room which caused you to sigh. You placed the tea cup on a platter that was on top of a table next to you, and stood up. You walked towards a fireplace that had a portrait of you and your family when you were a child. A content couple, and two children was found playing with toys on the floor happily. Terrible memories came flowing back as you went to touch the picture frame as the mark on your neck started to burn furiously like before. Immediately, you clamped a hand over your neck and refrained from screaming in agony.

“Madam __________?” Sebastian’s voice was heard which caused you to attempt to ignore the scorching sensation and turned towards where he was. You calmly looked at Sebastian and awaited what he wanted.

“Yes, Sebastian?” The pain died down as he resumed talking,

“I have finished the chores you have ordered me to do. I do believe it’s time for your lessons to recommence.” Dancing lessons… You sighed and nodded slightly as you noticed at small smile on Sebastian’s lips. Soon, there would be a ball being held at the Chamber mansion, and you had to attend tomorrow. You’ve heard of the things the Viscount of Druitt has done, but it was insisted regarding you were now the most known person in town.

You were caught up in thought that you didn’t even notice Sebastian was inches away from you. You felt your cheeks grow red, as you looked away from him in embarrassment. You knew you had strong feelings for Sebastian, but you didn’t know for sure where you two stand. In his eyes, you predicted he just saw you as his master as the usual ways. Nothing different. Nothing more.

Thinking this, you grew into as depressed state as Sebastian took your hand in one of his and placed your other hand on his shoulder. His free hand was placed just above your hip as you kept your gaze somewhere else in the room.

“My Lady…” He begun. “It is impolite to not keep eye contact with the one you are dancing
with.” You swore silently under your breath as you brought your eyes up to meet his flame colored ones staring at you. Sebastian smile triumphantly as you remained gazing at him, inelegantly. He took a deep breath as he begun to start the lesson.

“Now, we are going to resume learning the required dance, the Waltz.” He took a step forward as you hesitantly stepped backwards, unsure of what you were supposed to be doing. Being led around the room in dance moves, you eventually ran into Sebastian after many times of doing so. He sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration. “Miss _________, you aren’t ever going to learn if you don’t focus.” You stepped back a few feet and placed your hands on your hips,

“You don’t think I’m trying? Perhaps I need a better teacher!” A string of guilt panged into your chest as you felt you were a little harsh towards Sebastian. Knowing him however, he would take it lightly and wouldn’t be offended. Nothing changed though, his impassive face looked at you as it normally would. You couldn’t ever make out what his emotions were, he always kept them hidden.

“I believe, perchance, we should leave the dancing for later then.” You felt saddened at his normal, yet changed state. His eyes… you finally saw a spark of emotion in them. You didn’t understand how you’ve never seen it before. “Would you care for another cup of tea-” Sebastian’s question was cut off by you hugging him abruptly. You didn’t know why, you just felt the urge to be close to him. Out of all the promises and I swears, you knew he would be by your side forever until the end. These small moments made you feel alone and you needed someone, you needed Sebastian. When you lost your family, Sebastian was the only one there by your side. You didn’t care if he had feelings for you, whether he loved you truly, or just for your soul, you wanted to be with him.

You looked up at Sebastian, whose eyes were widened into a shocked state, or… paralyzed you could call it. Feeling suddenly embarrassed, you moved away and turned your line of sight away from Sebastian. You felt a quick sadness rush over you as you went to apologize.

“I- I’m sorry.” You turned away and walked outside into the sunlight, shutting the door behind you. Time… it’s all you needed to decide what to do from here. Every time you felt as you loved Sebastian, the terrible thought of him not truly loving you always stayed in your mind like poison.

You walked towards a garden which was near your estate, as you noticed the sun was setting for the night. You sighed softly while looking out towards the flowers that were neatly planted and blooming in front of you a few feet away.

“I wasn’t sure if that was a yes, but I brought some freshly made tea to your delight.”
The corners of your mouth turned upwards as you turned around to see Sebastian holding a cup of tea. You shook your head at his expectations, and walked towards him to stop a few feet away. You gently took the warm cup and sipped some of the soothing tea. You ignored Sebastian’s stare you felt, so you looked down at the ground beneath you.

“Why are you sorry, My Lady?” You wanted to try you hardest to avoid the question, so you just shrugged your shoulders,

“I assumed I invaded your personal space. Nothing else.” You looked at Sebastian, who had nodded just to agree with you, even if he didn’t feel like you did.

“Shall we go back inside? It’s rather drafty out here.” You snickered and walked past him,

“Yes, we still have lessons to do. Don’t we?” You could feel his smile as you walked towards the entrance doors. You heard Sebastian say below a whisper,

“Indeed we do.”

After many attempted hours you had finally succeeded in dancing. Now that a day has passed it was time for you to get ready to go to the Chamber mansion. You were not eager, whatsoever.

You looked at yourself in a mirror after Sebastian had just put a Victorian dress on you. You were used to wearing these sorts of outfits for every occasion, so it did not bother you. Sebastian, however, was in an elaborate Tuxedo, he looked somewhat normal you could say. Sebastian was to be your escort to the ‘party’ as the Druitt has been calling it.
You took a deep breath as you exited the room, leaving Sebastian to follow behind.

Leaving the estate, you walked slowly towards the carriage that was awaiting for you outside with a driver already there. Sebastian walked past you and opened the door for you to step inside and held out his hand. You placed a gloved hand in his and used it for support to enter the carriage. You sat down as Sebastian sat next to you and shut the door. The carriage took off, heading towards the Chamber estate.
