Based off of a photo I took at a pow wow. The dancer's name is Ramon and when he dances he moves with great passion and I felt that he was making a connection with his past.

To symbolize the past I made hand prints in the background - they can be seen in many ancient sites and represent a visual connection to the past. In this case I wanted to bring the past to the present.
