I think It's a good idea to give people some tips on how to decorate your profile
I know most people really want to make their page beautiful but they can't, don't know how or think they need core membership
don't worry you don't need core membership to make your profile look great !
I'm gonna do my best to help you guys <3

how to decorate your profile
In general (tips, very usefull information)
- Try deleting some widgets from your profile you don't need, It's not necessary to have every widget on your page
--> (especially the activity widget)
--> click on "edit page"
(it looks like this)
--> there are some widgets you can't use because they're only for people with a core membership
--> If you delete them they won't be gone forever, you can always set them back - Try keeping your page not too long, and if you do. Use the space by decorating it (scroll down if you want to know how to decorate it)
--> you can use pagedolls or even images or gifs
--> try to keep it a little small, full big pictures take alot of space
--> use pictures or pagedolls, pixels, etc... with a transparent background, it looks way better that way - try to use the same colour theme
--> I don't mean that you should only use one colour, but the same colours (like black white red theme, or any colour combinations) - try using the same characters
--> by this I mean, use drawings, pagedolls of your oc's (most popular, most favourite)
--> I know it sounds stupid but first impressions are important, sometimes people look at people's profiles and like how your oc and page looks, this gives them the intrest to get to know your oc's and art better, maybe they even want to draw it
--> you can ofcourse use canon characters from a show example : dinsey princesses, anime, etc...

hi! i'm sorry to bother you, but i noticed you have backgrounds in your boxes on your profile and i've been having issues trying to get backgrounds onto mine. i was wondering: is there anyway to get a URL from an image without the thousands of jibberish letters and the images-wixmp to the link? Because that seems to be my problem with getting any type of image -- background or pixel -- onto my box. For example, here's a link that just won't work:

Well I have to say that there have been stuff with codes for a while where DA makes them longer for no reason when you upload them in the stash and stuff, so I don't really have a trick to make them shorter
however maybe you might be using the wrong code ? I tried the image and I can put it on my profile :
is it possible for you to take a screenshot of the code you put in the box so I can help figure out why it isn't working ?

so for image 1: its showing the image of the one i want to use as a background and the stupidly long link.
image 2: thats nearly the whole link, and as you can see, it doesn't end with a .png, .jpg, .gif, etc.
image 3: as i put it into the box to be converted, it won';t take it. also, when i just do it manually and insert said link into this link:

it still won't work. you can view my page and see that there is no background to see, although the link above with the link shown in the stash inserted into there is inside my custom box!
i hope this makes sense haha! it's kind of hard explaining when what you can show is limited without being there in person! :"D i really appreciate the time you're giving to help! <333

hey! so i actually kept trying and my backgrounds finally work! although, its only with images not from deviantart! but images from google and toyhouse work! you can view my profile to see! but i'll try the dA image again and show you

is there anyway to align images on different sides of the line on the same line? i tried putting the codes right next to each other and it wouldn't work. (p.s. this is very helpful and like how you still answer people's questions 2 years after this is posted.)

Well I'm not sure, I think there's a code somewhere out there for resizeing the images where you put in the pixels that you want the image to be ?

Maybe the problem is that you don't use spaces where you need to
