Description
I finally made a Rapunzel piece that I am, for the most part, proud of. Since the movies release I have wanted to draw something from this movie but could never capture the style or feeling that I got from watching the movie.

And of course time I actually got close it's a sad image XD

I really wanted to capture the moment after Rapunzel realizes that Eugene is safe and it hits her that her life is a lie and she just lost her mother who she loved and trusted and is now gone. I would assume (based on how I would probably act) that it took her a moment to really come back from that before meeting her real parents the first time.

The look on her face when she meets the King and Queen looked a little scared and vulnerable. I immediately thought of this scene in my head after that. I know I am reading way too much into a Disney film but I would like to think that the creators took into consideration the fact that in the end Rapunzel really did love her mother despite her lies (hence her reaching for her out the window before she fell.)

I would really like to draw some more images of these two in the future in a happier setting. I love this movie and I thought the characters played really well off of each other
