Description
I'm so pleased you guys like this series of sketches. I was inspired to do another right away. This data is from my older notebook and my own personal memory.
Transcription:
The stealthiest and arguably the deadliest of all Werefolk are definitely the Wererats.
There is no way to secure a facility from them.
They are naturally sneaky, and they have a passive aura in their enchantment that grants them a form of psionic invisibility unless the observer stares DIRECTLY at them.
"But it's only on if we're a little scared."
"It's hard keeping rats out. Try keeping out a rat who's graduated from thief or assassin college."
"Our education system is pretty...um...specialized"
Wererats are also the 2nd fastest sprinters(In Hybrid form.) Some can run as fast as a gazelle.
"Whoa! So that's why I couldn't catch Romeo that time at the Airport. You guys are kinda fast. Wanna Race?"
Part of the Werecheetah enchantment is a passive "Terror" effect that only afflicts Wererats.
Any Wererat who looks into the eyes of a Werecheetah is either frozen in stark terror, panicked into fleeing blindly, cowed into total obedience to do whatever the Werecheetah commands, or compelled to surrender to the Werecheetah's mercy.
"You can see NOW why I tried to Euthanize my Werecheetah creations."
"I'm resistant to the "Doom Gaze" but if Britanny walked over and told me to kiss her rear..."
"But..Like...There's a LOT more to us Wererats. Stay tuned for part two...Or something."

Out of curiosity, at about what age to most lycanthropes get their hybrid form, or is age even a factor?

Well, if the mini comics are anything to go on, it's at or around puberty. Britanny couldn't go hybrid at GD-18, when she was a child. And her daughter only recently got her Hybrid form. I think it's the same for all Lycanthropes, since the eldest werewolf child still has puppy form.

That does seem to be the implication; Tiffy is, what, about ten now? And that seems to be about the age Brit is in that one flashback she shares with Tif and Madrid while on the way home. Pojo ought to get his hybrid form any time now, really (looking forward to seeing it, too!).

Wererats are kind of cute. What other werecreatures do you have other than them, werewolves and werecheetahs?

You know, I wonder if you ever thought of a Were-Mouse race?
Perhaps a counter to the Rat race, who are more diplomats and strong presences charisma wise? They are also intelligent, and can solve puzzles at a prodigious speed and make natural detectives.
They, while stealthy like their rat cousins, believe that being assassins is a dishonorable vocation and prefer to either avoid conflict through diplomacy, or if forced to fight approach combat tactically. Preferring to dismantle an opponent by exploiting their weaknesses. All the while affording their opponent every opportunity to concede.

Thank you so much for these "xenofiles", Fred. Your universe is so very interesting, and I relish any opportunity to learn more about its inhabitants!

I believe Cheetah clocks in at 800mph when sprinting so I imagine the Wererats can sprint up to 1000mph?

Gazelles don't outrun cheetahs in the short distance race, dude. Fred said the wererats are the SECOND fastest sprinters, with some as fast as a gazelle (note that he's not saying 'as fast as a magically-supercharged gazelle'). While impressive for a biped, it doesn't really compare with werecheetahs.
Back in the early days, Britanny and Brianna (neither noted to be as fast as the average werecheetah) would go on morning jogs at a 'safe speed' of 200mph... until the Daemon Mouse nearly squashed them with a semi and they decided to lower that threshold to 100mph. Kind of puts them significantly above the wererats.

you should add something like this to your commission options.
as i've created were-wabbits from your "raw materials" here i'd love to see you to the race profile for them

These examples show average active young adult.
Sort of like the example given in DaVince's "Proportions of the human figure", it doesn't depict *all* proportions accurately, but it's something generic to go from.
There is also the added bonus that most of them live away from societies where corn and/or high fructose is added to almost every single mote of friggin' food(Even in the meat.)
We on *this* earth have to deal with a grocery system that's been weirding our bodies out since the 70s. But I'm not going to go into that here.

I suppose Gina and Brit lucked out a bit then growing up on our earth, cause those girls are practically super models. Even Brit's human form is super cute.

Gina's not out of the woods yet.
Brit's a werecheetah who runs for 30-60 miles in one hour every day.

Heh, I see now why Gothwrain kept his distance had the kids and others do all the work in the Cheetah department. So I guess rats are more inbetween "Spy" and "Scout" than one or the other. :3

That doesn't necessarily mean much, since Iceron added special enchantments to his cats to enable them to hunt wererats.

Mad-Cloak In reply to Ragehoof [2013-06-20 04:59:03 +0000 UTC]
While its true that the werecats of the GD world each have unique abilities. The Katarashi are quite different and before the "Great War" in his dimension a few members of the Katarashi could be labeled as "true" immortals.
But alas now Katarl is the only one left and he is the trickiest of them all.
