Pretty much; the best defense strategies were ones that didn't have much strategy to them and had stuff like proc rates.
I remember Phoenix/Emma, that shit was DUUMB.

Also they thankfully buffed up some of the weaker heroes. The kind who's attacks didn't have any special traits or buffs/debuffs. Now they're legitimately useful.

yeah, IIRC some of them are quite useful; I remember when nightcrawler got buffed and Him+Cap britain was an Adamantium tier combo.

Same with Luke Cage and Ms. Marvel. They got some buffed attacks into more than just straight damage.

I don't know if Cap Britbong and Nightcrawler work well together anymore; that was the month after he came out, and I think he got debuffed from there.
The meta changes so rapidly, I can't really give any accurate statements about the current meta.

The longer you send them out the more XP and Silver you'll get on the return trip. Also the higher the level the character, the more of a XP Bonus they'll receive.
