The small touches are my favorite part. The peaceful blue moon in the top right corner for contrast with the chaos. The ring on her left hand, attaching us the audience to her in a very human way. The mask over her face to make us wish to know a little more about this woman . . . and what she may be hiding from the world. Very enjoyable. And I do love my details, obviously.

Oh wow, this is very moving, I'm tearing up over here. You are incredibly talented, to evoke so much... There's really nothing I can say that hasn't been said before- lighting, eyes, robot, poses, etc. It's all fantastic. I will say congrats on the DD, it's very very well earned.

I don't know if you've ever seen "Castle in the Sky", but this reminded me strongly of a cool scene from that movie

For a digital painting, it sure reminds me of acrylic or oils! I love the direction of the rockets blasting off into the sky, which draws our eyes up but then leads it down towards the main focal point. The dominant yellow tones are beautiful - like as if something is being lit in a big fire - and the gentle body language of the robot and the woman is touching. The robot and the woman's expression is genuinely painful to watch, but you keep on wishing that they can escape whatever is bearing down on them. I love the interaction between the two - very human.

The way you can see the emotion o nthe units face, it's breathtaking. And the girl, she looks so fearful. Definitly a favorite.

Geez you've put so much detail into this piece it's almost unbelievable!! The shadows, highlights, angles, background, expression, emotion.....WOW!! You've even included the refelction of what they're seeing in the robot's eyes ! The highlights on her hair, in her eyes, on her skin, the intense light shining on them both.... And even the background is fantastic. Absolutely amazing work. Really.

The expressions are absolutely breath taking. The only thing I can suggest is something out the clouds a little, they look just ever so slightly sketchy to me. But it's still an over all amazing piece. Fav'd right now.

I don't normally comment on pictures from the 'daily deviation' because I figure there's not a lot I could add, given that many others see it and comment on it, but I must say that I feel drawn to this piece. It is absolutely breathtaking. As you said, the expressions are fantastic. Other things I really like about the picture: the lighting, and colouring. (Sort of a yellow monochromatic piece, which is my favourite colour to do monochromatic paintings in) One also gets a very strong sense of narrative in this picture. I already feel connected to the characters and the environment. I love the design on the robot. (The Big round eyes, yellow/black caution tape, large lower "jaw", those are all elements I frequently enjoy seeing and using in my own artwork.) The blue sky in the upper right corner somehow gives a feeling of hope to an otherwise bleak picture, which is something I really enjoy, too.
Overall, just stunning. Kudos!
