That is abasoulutly gorgous. I especialy love the fear in the person and robots faces. Geting any expreastion out of a robot is no mean feat.

as aelis said, it, too, reminds me of My/Iron Giant, depending on where the movie was released. great use of contrast and lighting, and i particularly like the vaguely scribbled finish. wish i had my own robot to protect me from nasty explosions!

I absolutely adore the colors... And expressions of their both! Makes me really feel like I am also in the moment :') Of course the coloring is great and a touch of perspective gives it a little something

AWww, it's just like The Iron Giant. I loved that movie...
But anyway, female characters and big gentle robots are always a nice combo. I also love his big hands, his expression, and the wedding ring on the woman's left hand. That is some awesome detail. I wish this were a book or something.

ohh my! this picture makes my stomach feel weird.. i jus wanna help them - they look so afraid.. like they are never going to see each other again.. so heart-wrenching
you have done really well getting the emotion across in this.. really captured the danger that is happening around them. especially in the robot's eyes.
i love how you have made something so cumbersome looking, look so gentle and caring.. i was almost looking for a ring on the robot's finger aswell

i love the moon on the clouds but oh my gosh the expression on the humans face is good. but the expression on the face of a robot..wow. well done. it reminds me of the discworld illustrations for Death..how do you put emotion into a skulls face? but the illustrator managed to do it..so cool

Wonderful lighting and textures in this painting, it's really beautiful.
I love how gentle and concerned the robot looks for the girl. And she clings onto him with so much trust and love as well.
I commend you. Certainly a deviation extremely worthy of the Daily Deviation title.
