Marvelous! And I love the expressions on their faces! The whole world is going to hell in a handbasket around them, and these two just want to be left out of it. In a way, they remind me of the Elric brothers from Full Metal Alchemist, but I know this isn't of them. Another animated character I see in this is the Iron Giant, but I degress--- enough about who it looks like. The colors! The lighting! They work together so flawlessly here, it's amazing! You really captured the essense of fear and protection in this image, and for that I applaud you. Thank you for sharing such a lovely piece with the rest of the community!

I saw this on Daily Deviation. 99% of the time lately, I don't bother looking at the Daily Deviation. It's usually full of self-important rambling and the art is usually OK.
Thanks for being an exception. This is spectacular.
The thumbnail they have up for this REALLY caught my eye. The look on that robot's face made me really want to see the rest of the painting. Then, to see it cradling..protecting...a very frightened-looking woman...very well done. I can't say enough nice things about this. ESPECIALLY that it has a very traditional look to it.

it kind of reminds me of Iron Giant, I think the lighting and muted tones and especially those deep sadness in their faces. It looks like they are watching from far away their home burn down :/

Truly amazing. As EVERYONE ELSE has said, the emotion is amazing in this picture. The robot looks like it's ready to protect the woman from the chaos surrounding them, and the terror in the woman's eyes speaks volumes about what must be going on. Not to mention that your skill with painting is astonishing. Definitely a favorite.

It's filled with such emotion, it tells a story all by itself. The look on the woman's face and the rugged look of the robot, with that sad, courageous look...
No words are spoken, but I can just imagine what kinds of things happened beforehand in their world.
